Traders in Nigeria can buy a challenge from 75 of the 90 prop firms we track, and FundedNext leads our Nigerian ranking at 4.4/5. Yet the decision usually turns on something more practical than scores. 70 of those firms accept crypto for the fee, and 63 of them pay profits out in crypto too.
Money in, money out
Think of the payment route before you think of the firm. 71 accepting firms list card payments, 49 take e-wallets, and 7 firms take Korapay, NGN bank transfer or Verve for the fee. At the other end, crypto payouts are available at 63 firms, Rise at 47 and bank transfer at 35, and 41 pay on a weekly or faster schedule. A firm that takes your USDT on the way in but pays out only by a method you cannot use is not a real option, so check both directions on the same page. If you have never moved USDT before, practice with a small transfer first so the fee payment is not your first attempt.
We quote prices in dollars. The median one-time cost of a forex challenge, pass fees included, is $99 for a $10K account, $349 for $50K and $569 for $100K, while the cheapest ticket we list is FundedHive at $9. Divide each price by account size to get a cost per $10K before you compare offers, and remember that 6% of forex challenges add an activation fee after you pass.
Which markets are open to you
Here is how the market splits: 54 accepting firms offer forex and CFD challenges, against 16 for futures and 14 for crypto. If futures are your plan, check the restriction list above carefully: the 15 firms that refuse Nigerian traders include Topstep, Lucid Trading and Apex Trader Funding.
The clock is kind to you. Nigeria sits close to London time, so the London open arrives around 08:00 WAT in the European summer and 09:00 in winter, and New York joins at 14:30 or 15:30. The whole busy part of the forex day fits inside normal waking hours.
Discipline you will be tested on
Remember that a challenge is a simulated evaluation: you are paying to prove you can follow rules, so read them first. 59 firms offer a static drawdown that stays fixed to your starting balance, rather than a trailing one that rises with your equity. Daily loss limits reset each day, and 9% of forex challenges skip them. 56 firms allow expert advisors, 68 allow news trading, and the leading platforms are MT5 (49 firms), Match Trader (28 firms) and cTrader (26 firms). 55 firms sell instant funding if you want to skip the test.
Tax on payouts depends on Nigerian rules and your own situation; we are not tax advisers. Start with FundedNext, FundingPips and The5ers, and keep the one whose payment route works for you in both directions.
