Where our money comes from

Of the 90 firms on Prop Firms Top, one has an affiliate link with us: Hash Hedge, our Editor's Choice. If you buy a challenge after clicking its link, Hash Hedge may pay us a commission, and your price stays the same. The other 89 firms earn us nothing.

How the links work

Every "Visit site" link to a firm is tagged as sponsored and runs through our /visit/ redirect, which search engines are told not to crawl. For a partner, that redirect leads to our affiliate link. For every other firm, it leads to the firm's own website. Review pages also cite firms' pages as sources, and those plain source links earn nothing.

Commissions and the rankings

Being paid by a firm never changes its calculated score or its place in a ranking. Firms we have no deal with go through the same formula. Hash Hedge itself has a calculated score of 4.0/5 and sits at #45 of 90 in the full ranking.

The Editor's Choice slot

We choose the Editor's Choice for both editorial and commercial reasons, and it is the firm that pays us. It is pinned above the rankings on every page whose filter it meets, wears a label and links back to this page. Its calculated score appears beside it unchanged. It also gets an editor's rating of 4.5/5, which is our opinion and is always marked that way.

Our discount codes

A code tagged "our code" is one the firm has issued to this site. We hold no such codes at present. Until we have checked a code, its page stays hidden from search engines. We never show prices built on other sites' promo codes.
