Our editorial standards
Every figure on Prop Firms Top traces back to a named source: aggregated public comparison data for 66 firms, our own dossiers from official pages for 24 firms, and 54 dated corrections checked on firms' own sites. This page explains how those sources become pages, how scores stay independent and how errors get fixed.
Where facts come from
Prices, account sizes, trading rules, payout terms and banned countries come from firms' official pricing pages and terms. We collect them directly for some firms and through aggregated public comparison data for the rest. When a check of the firm's own pages finds a difference, the firm's page wins, and the fix goes into our corrections file with its source and date. Ratings come from public Trustpilot pages, and currency rates from the ECB.
We use list prices only. Discount prices appear only with a code a firm has issued to us and that we have checked. We do not publish invented reviews, payout numbers, testimonials or experts.
What we check by hand
Before a firm gets a full review, we compare its record with its official pricing page, rules and terms. Our own dossiers are built entirely from the firm's site, most recently on October 5, 2026. Reader reports and firm updates are checked the same way. The methodology page lists every source with its date.
How pages are produced
Rankings, firm reviews and country pages are built from one database through fixed page layouts. A number lives in one place, so when it changes, every page that uses it changes together. Our guides are edited by the Prop Firms Top Research Desk. Their figures are pulled from the same database, and outside figures, such as industry pass rates, are linked to their source.
How scores and ranks are set
A firm's score is the output of the formula on our methodology page, nothing else. No firm can pay for a higher position. The Editor's Choice is pinned on its own, carries a label and leaves every calculated score untouched.
What the dates mean
The Updated date on a page is the date its content last changed, for example a new price or a rewritten section. It does not mean that every number on the page was rechecked that day. Source dates, such as when Trustpilot ratings were taken, are on the methodology page.
Reporting an error
Firms rewrite their rules often. If something here no longer matches what a firm publishes, send us the details with a link to the firm's page. We check it against the official source, log the fix with its date and rebuild every page that uses the number. The page's Updated date then moves to the day of the fix.
Trader reviews
We publish a trader's account of a firm only with proof that they bought a challenge or received a payout. Star ratings shown on our pages come from Trustpilot's public pages, not from us.
A word on risk
A prop firm challenge is a paid evaluation on a simulated account in most cases. In one large sample of more than 300,000 accounts, about 7% of traders reached a payout (Finance Magnates, September 2024). Treat this site as information, not financial advice.
