Almost the whole market is open to you: 88 of the 90 prop firms we track accept traders from Germany. FundingPips leads our German ranking at 4.3/5, and a $100K forex challenge costs a median $569, roughly 501 EUR. When nearly every door is open, the hard part is not finding a firm that will take you but choosing between dozens that will.
The clock is on your side
Few places sit as comfortably in the forex day as Central Europe. London opens at around 09:00 your time, and the New York stock open follows at about 15:30, so both of the busiest sessions fall inside ordinary daytime hours. That changes how you should read a rulebook. You are likely to trade the London open and the US data releases that arrive in the early afternoon, so check that your firm allows news trading (80 of them do) and note when the daily loss limit resets. The reset usually follows the firm's server clock, not yours, and knowing where it falls keeps one bad morning from spilling into the next day's allowance.
Reading prices in euros
Median one-time prices for forex challenges, pass fees included, are $99 for $10K, $346 for $50K and $569 for $100K; at about 0.88067 EUR per dollar, that is around 87 EUR, 305 EUR and 501 EUR. The cheapest entry we list is FundedHive at $9. Judge offers by price per $10K of account size rather than by the headline fee, and read past the checkout: 6% of programs add an activation fee once you pass, and 25% of futures programs charge monthly rather than once.
Payment options are broad. 83 firms take cards and 75 take crypto, while no firm here takes a method specific to Germany for the fee. For withdrawals, 42 firms pay by bank transfer, 54 through Rise and 66 in crypto, with 53 offering weekly or faster payouts.
Where the real differences hide
Because access is rarely the problem, the rules become the whole comparison. The restriction list is short, 2 of 90, and names Hantec Trader and Axi Select; behind FundingPips, our table ranks FundedNext and The5ers. From there, look at three things. Drawdown type first: a static limit is measured from your starting balance, a trailing one follows your equity high, and 60 firms offer the static kind. Then the daily limit, which only 9% of programs leave out. Then tools: the leading platforms are MT5 (48 firms), Match Trader (28 firms) and cTrader (27 firms), and 62 firms accept expert advisors. If you would rather skip the exam, 59 firms sell instant funding at a premium.
Your market narrows the field more than your passport does. 53 accepting firms run forex and CFD challenges, 30 offer futures and 14 offer crypto, with some firms in several groups. Futures traders in particular should filter first, then compare the short list that remains.
One last point of perspective. A challenge is a simulated evaluation, and a funded account shares simulated profits under the firm's terms. How German tax rules treat those payouts depends on your situation; we are not tax advisers, so ask one before your first withdrawal.
