By Editorial teamListing data refreshed List prices, no promo codes

Most firms we follow take Filipino traders: 86% of them list the Philippines as open.

Most of these firms take Credit/Debit Card, Crypto and PayPal for challenge fees. 2 firms take a method specific to the Philippines for the fee (GCash or Maya).

Method: We keep every firm open to the Philippines and rank them on a Philippines score, which swaps the usual access component for a check of deposit and withdrawal methods that work for Filipino traders. No firm with an open warning makes the picks. We quote official list prices with no promo codes and add any fee you pay after passing.

Firm popularity: Monthly Google searches for the firm's name across all countries, from Ahrefs keyword data (sub-brands carry their parent company's number). It shows the firm is known and in real use rather than a fly-by-night, but tells you nothing about its rules or payouts.

Firms closed to traders in the Philippines

A Filipino trader's route to a funded account

A trader in Manila can choose from 77 of the 90 prop firms we track, with FundingPips on top of our Filipino ranking at 4.3/5. On the payment side, 2 firms take GCash or Maya for the fee, so check whether a phone wallet is really an option before you settle on a firm. Picture the moment: you have read the rules, you have picked an account size, and the checkout page asks how you want to pay. The better your answer to that question, the fewer surprises later.

Start with the checkout, not the leaderboard

Most comparison guides begin with scores. For a trader in the Philippines it pays to begin with the payment page, because a firm you cannot pay easily is a firm you will not use. Across the accepting firms, 72 take cards, 68 take crypto and 50 take e-wallets of some kind, so most traders have more than one route. Filter the table above by the method you actually have, then compare what is left.

Price comes next. The median one-time cost of a forex challenge, pass fees included, sits at $99 for $10K, $349 for $50K and $569 for $100K. With the peso at around 62.547 PHP per dollar, that is roughly 6,192 PHP, 21,829 PHP and 35,620 PHP. FundedHive has the lowest entry ticket we list, at $9. Rather than chasing the smallest number, divide the price by the account size and compare the cost per $10K; larger accounts are often cheaper on that basis. Also look for an activation fee charged only after you pass, which 6% of programs add.

Evenings in Manila, mornings in London

Philippine time is eight hours ahead of UTC, so London opens around 15:00 during the northern summer and 16:00 in winter, and New York stocks open around 21:30 or 22:30. Your prime forex hours are late afternoon into night. That rhythm shapes which rules bite. Daily loss limits reset once a day, and if the reset falls in the middle of your session, a bad hour before and after it can count as two separate days. Only 9% of the programs we track skip the daily limit entirely, so plan around it. 69 firms permit trading through news, which matters because the key US releases arrive in your evening.

Drawdown type, platform and speed

Three technical choices separate a comfortable challenge from a frustrating one:

  • Drawdown. A static limit stays fixed at your starting balance; a trailing one rises with your equity peak. 59 firms offer static drawdown.
  • Platform. The most common are MT5 (48 firms), Match Trader (27 firms) and cTrader (26 firms). Trade where you already have a routine, and if you automate, 58 firms allow expert advisors.
  • Evaluation or not. Instant funding, offered by 53 firms, skips the test but usually costs more and gives less room.

Futures traders have fewer choices here: 19 accepting firms offer futures, and 25% of futures programs charge a monthly subscription instead of a one-time fee.

Who is off the list and how money comes back

13 of the firms we track do not take traders from the Philippines, including Lucid Trading, Alpha Futures and Take Profit Trader. After FundingPips, our local ranking places FundedNext and The5ers. On payouts, 61 firms pay in crypto, 44 via Rise and 39 by bank transfer; 42 pay weekly or faster. Keep in mind that every challenge is a simulated evaluation: you earn a share of simulated profits under the firm's terms, not a trading job. How those payouts are taxed is a question for Philippine rules and a qualified adviser, not for us.

Regulators and tax in the Philippines

What regulators have said about trading from the Philippines. A prop firm challenge is a paid evaluation, not a brokerage account, so most of these rules were written for brokers.

Regulators
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)
Retail forex and CFDs
The SEC says it does not allow registration of forex in the nature of commodity or financial futures, CFDs and similar derivatives, because their trading remains suspended under Rule 11 of the 2015 rules implementing the Securities Regulation Code. It repeats this in advisories against unregistered platforms. Source: sec.gov.ph
Prop firm challenges
We found no rule or warning from SEC and BSP written specifically about prop firm challenges.
Tax
No official BIR page we found sets out how individual forex trading profits or prop firm payouts are taxed, so the treatment is unclear. Source: bir.gov.ph
